SYO is the leading orchestral training and education provider in NSW. We are a pathway for young musicians, between 5-25 to discover, develop, nurture and share in a passion for orchestral music. We cannot underestimate the impact of giving our young people the artistic and developmental tools to empower them as creatives in their own right. What they achieve, how they engage, what they contribute within, and after their time with SYO, is how we measure our success. Through SYO a musician will also foster dedication, commitment, teamwork, confidence and many other skills, which will translate into every aspect of their lives, impacting the communities from which they come. Our young people are our greatest investment. Being in SYO is not only about developing technical skill, more significantly it is about the act of playing together – and the important role that togetherness plays in shaping a creative and cohesive society.
