My world view was shaped by failures in the medical community and a college course in statistics. Doctors in their patronizing way, suggested my health issues were mental issues. It took six months of psychotherapy to relearn to trust myself and not the "experts". Then another forty years to get a diagnosis. In my college statistics course, I learned how statistics lie.
