Welcome to Fletcher Farms Amarillo! In 2022, my husband Cory and I bought 65 acres in Amarillo, Texas, and started our farm with one special donkey named Jack. Wanting him to have a friend led us to discover the heartbreaking truth about horses and donkeys being shipped to slaughter. That moment changed everything. We rescued a Jenny donkey and her baby, and soon after, six Belgian Draft horses—The Original Six. Our love for animals inspired us to start the Big Hoof Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescuing at-risk equines, especially big-hoofed breeds. Since then, we've saved 212 equines: 129 Belgian Drafts, 5 Quarter Horses, 1 Clydesdale, 18 Percherons, and 59 Donkeys. Fletcher Farms is also a working homestead with goats, chickens, and more.
