James Liakos is an award-winning director, producer, and screenwriter who began his studies at the New York Film Academy in 1998 before pursuing English, business, and public speaking in college. Being a huge animal lover, he created Cute Whippet Dog Story: Man’s Best Friend (2009) during an actual pet-sitting job. The video surpassed seven million hits and was featured in dozens of online publications including THE SAN FRANCISCO GLOBE. He has worked on dozens of TV/Film projects, including Get Shorty TV Series (2017) and The Player TV Series (2016). Films he has directed and/or produced include The Recovery (2017), A Day In the Park (2019), Sea Critter (2020), and Twalette (2024) that latter-- a quirky rom-com, won 29 awards across France, Italy, Germany, England, North America, and Canada.
