Welcome to our Family Bushcraft Channel! My name is Nick Goldsmith and together with my wife Louise, our son Finley and fox red Labrador Tilly, we aim to inspire you to have your own family adventures in the great outdoors. We focus on wilderness living skills, traditional crafts, and are strong advocates of using nature to improve mental well-being. In 2014 I was diagnosed with complex PTSD after a busy career as a British Royal Marine Commando. I now use the outdoors to manage my condition. I am a full time Bushcraft Instructor, Ethnobotanist and outdoor chef and Louise is a qualified Forest School Leader. Together we run Hidden Valley Bushcraft and The Woodland Warrior Programme from our private woodland in the South West of England. We will be offering survival and foraging tips, family bushcraft activities and kit reviews as well as a variety of useful videos to help with your mental well-being.
