El Kamel, born in Havana, Cuba, grew up in Old Havana on Factoría Street. Known as “The King of Cuba,” he has become one of the country’s most prominent urban music artists. In 2017, a chance meeting with Cedric Singleton, CEO of Black Market Records, led to his signing with the U.S.-based label and the release of two albums, "Time Real Fire" and "One Rey". The following year, his relentless work ethic produced nine albums, including the groundbreaking *El Rey del Barrio*, featuring hits like “Mojonera,” “Tu Erez Tiza,” and “Cosa Gorda,” as well as *Asalto* with songs such as “Hazte de un pocho” and “Haz tu vida.” In 2018, El Kamel delivered eight of Cuba’s top 20 tracks. He has collaborated with top Cuban acts including Yomil & Dany, El Taiger, El Chulo, and El Micha, and continues to expand globally, headlining tours across Europe with plans to tour the United States soon.
