Cartesian: Related to Descartes. Categorical Imperative: Act only by that maxim you can at the same time will it to be universal law Cogito: I think therefore I am Cosmological Argument: You can't have an infinite regress of causes, so there must be an uncaused first cause. Hylomorphism: Material+Form. Infinite Regress: You can go infinitely forward without reaching an end point, but not infinitely backward without reaching a start point. Ontological Argument: God must exist because perfection that exists is better than perfection that does not exist. Therefore, non-existence contradicts the definition of a perfect being. Utilitarianism: An action/rule is moral if it maximizes happiness and minimizes suffering.
