The Center for Educational Research and Development is an independent public institution directly linked to the Minister of Education and Higher Education. It aims at formulating educational policies, improving the quality of education in Lebanon and keeping abreast of scientific progress, as well as technological and cultural development .worldwide Its major tasks include educational planning, the design of educational curricula and related issues, training members of the educational staff, conducting research and educational statistics.
