Firago is a play on Figaro, the lead character in the classic The Barber of Seville. Similar to their namesake, Firago are creative in melding typically unrelated influences. Make no mistake, they are a rock band through and through, with loud drums, big guitar solos, and catchy melodies that seem all too hard to find in the current environment. They released their debut single "Vertigo" in October, 2018, available on all major platforms. Accompanying it was the B-side "Dogs". The band first achieved local Chicago notoriety for their parody "Jay Cutler I'm Giving Up On You" which was featured on multiple radio stations & local news channels. Since then, they've released a steady stream of original and parody videos focused in the rock & funk genres. They parodied Prince's classic Controversy, rewriting the lyrics to COVID-19. Recently, they have started releasing live cover videos in lieu of being able to play shows. Prior to COVID - they had played a number of high profile venues.
