2017 was the year that The Rasmus did a big international comeback with the singles Paradise, Silver Night, Wonderman and the album Dark Matters, released September 22, 2017. They toured Europe extensively. 2018 started off with a loooong tour in Russia, during which the Lauri Ylönen wrote the song Holy Grail, released as a single on September 14, only a week before The Rasmus went out on another long tour of Europe. In November they did 7 concerts in Latin America. The Rasmus have released 9 studio albums between 1996 through to 2017 in more than 50 territories worldwide.Album sales (CD/LP) total more than 2,3 million.The album Dead Letters , featuring the single ‘In The Shadows’, was their big international breakthrough record in 2003. Dead Letters sold over 1,5 million copies worldwide, went Top 10 in 10 countries, including the UK whilst reaching #1 in Germany, Austria and Finland. Dead Letters reached Double Platinum sales in Finland, receiving 5 Platinum awards in Germany, 8 Gold Awards in Sweden and Double Gold status in the UK. ‘In The Shadows’, the massive hit single, went Gold in 6 countries including Sweden, Germany and France. It went Platinum in Finland and Belgium and reached the Top 10 in sales charts of 11 countries. It was the #1 Most Played song on MTV Europe, #1 Most Played track at Kerrang TV (UK). The Rasmus have released 27 singles so far. Throughout their illustrious career, The Rasmus have received many awards and nominations, including the MTVE awards, NJR awards, MTV Latin, Emma Gaala (Finnish Grammy), Nordic Music Awards, Polish Eska Awards and many others. The Rasmus are still one Europe's most in demand rock acts. They have toured Scandinavia many times as well as Central Europe, Asia, Japan, Canada, USA and South America.
