Last year, my boyfriend and I wanted to make long term plans and that included being more financially literate and working towards financial independence. We've tried the cash envelope budget system and it took us nearly a year to grasp the concept and change our mindset towards money and savings. It didn't happen overnight. We had to reassess what really mattered to us, what we valued, and what we wanted to fulfill in life. I want to inspire fellow Cebuanos to start being more financially literate.
