This was my passion project while I lived in New York. I've always been an audiophile at heart and wanted to try to capture the music I heard on my commute with the natural reverb of the underground tunnels. There are some amazingly talented musicians down in the subway and most people don't bother to take off their headphones and listen. This started as an experiment and it was the way I taught myself how to shoot on a borrowed 5D. Along the way I met some great people and one even played at my wedding. Currently I live in my hometown of Portland, Oregon. I hope the project is more on a hiatus than a retirement, as I would love to record in New York again one day. Or maybe I'll reinvent it out here and record amongst the trees. Thanks for listening, Brett Murphy
