Welcome, I'm Adriana! Sugarologie is an inclusive community for learning about the intersection of baking and science. I make in-depth videos and tutorials (mostly on YouTube), I’ve built Cakeculator (a free tool for building cake recipes), and I also write on Substack about the recipe development process. A bit about me: I've been a home baker for several years, and I'm also a scientist (MS in Micro/Immunology; PhD in Biochem/Molecular Biology). As such, I use my extensive training to develop recipes through a scientific lens. I love researching the interplay of all the macromolecules (proteins, starches, sugars, fats). This is where I enjoy working and why I don’t publish recipes as often as I’d like! I will do my best to understand as much as possible before I pass the knowledge on to you.
