For 29 years, the American French Film Festival is the annual showcase dedicated to French cinema in the U.S.. The event is presented by the Franco-American Cultural Fund, a partnership of the DGA, WGA West, MPAA & SACEM. The showcase takes place annually in the fall at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. The American French Film Festival is committed to promoting new French films in the U.S. and to showcasing the vitality and the diversity of French cinema: comedies and dramas, box office hits in France and novelties, first features and films from established writer-directors, documentaries, animation features, short films, art house movies as well as mainstream films.
