Hey, I'm Charlie and I'm deafened. I started losing my hearing when I was two years old and began going to speech therapy when I was aged three. I've spent most of my life hiding my deafness and functioning as a lipreader but was struggling to keep up in the hearing world. After finally admitting I was struggling to come to terms with my hearing loss and receiving such an overwhelming response, I decided to make the channel I wish I had had all of those years ago. Losing your hearing can be very frustrating, confusing and at times, quite lonely. I am currently studying BSL and thought I would share some very basic tutorials, signed songs and discuss my journey. I actively encourage viewers to study with qualified tutors and attach links and resources in every video description. Insta @charlieraine6
