The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – SPCA ‘for short’ – aims to protect all animals from cruelty, neglect and ill treatment. The Cape of Good Hope SPCA, situated in Grassy Park was founded in 1872 and is the oldest animal welfare organisation in South Africa. The SPCA, previously a member of the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) before it’s dissolution. We would like you to know that not only will your donation directly benefit the animals in our area but – through a sharing agreement between all SPCAs nationwide – a portion will be used in other, less fortunate areas to benefit animals over a wider area.
