Her academic training focuses on the languages and intellectual traditions of the ancient Near East and pre-Islamic Iran. She is currently an independent researcher and the author of the ongoing research project Alawites: A Story Yet Unfinished Alawites : A Story Yet Unfinished An individual, multi-platform project exploring the hidden, silenced, and sacred dimensions of Alawite history, philosophy, and identity.
