In a powerful journey of resilience, Joseph Ian Diel, or Jid Durano, embarked on a path of music after leaving college. Collaborating with renowned artists like James Reid, Karencitta, John Roa, Midnasty, Ron Henley, and others, he soared to incredible heights. Yet, amidst his success, 2020 brought an unexpected and life-changing twist. During the Covid pandemic, Jid faced a daunting schizophrenic episode, leading him to wander the streets of Cebu for three days which led him towards a six-month rehabilitation program. During those two years of recovery, the music paused, but in 2022, Jid summoned immense courage and vulnerability to share his gripping tale. Through the release of the documentary film "Dagkot" and the emotionally charged song "Padayon," he transformed his harrowing experience into a beacon of hope and inspiration.
