Competitors from all over the world work all year long preparing their routines, in order to dazzle and delight the crowds. The attendees look forward to the Open knowing they are going to witness some of the most amazing dance performances that will be seen in one place at one time. Competitors compete for the prized title...THE OPEN WORLD SWING DANCE CHAMPION! There is always excitement and electricity in the air. With a lot of social dancing scheduled, dancers get to experience hours of dancing with their old and new found friends. This will be the Open World Swing Dance Championships 41st Anniversary. We invite you to come and become part of the Open family. The Open is held every Thanksgiving Weekend in Burbank, CA.
