Jasper Wijnands, known as Shook, is an independent producer, composer, and musician based in the Netherlands. A trained pianist with a background in classical and jazz piano, he graduated from the Conservatory with a focus on Piano & Music Technology. He describes himself as “inspired by timeless forces such as love, change, and art, drawing from 80s synth-pop, funk, anime, and futuristic soundtracks.” His self-titled debut album in 2013 was followed by the acclaimed "Spectrum" in 2014, with the hit "Milestones" featured in Netflix’s "Better Call Saul." Shook’s music blends early electronic influences from Japanese synth-pop heroes like YMO with western minimalism and modern funk. His song "Always" became an anthem for NASA astronaut Christina Koch during her record-setting mission, highlighting Shook’s impact on listeners, even in space.
