Welcome to The Pie Academy, a channel devoted to the love of homemade pie. Here you'll find videos that not only teach the nuts and bolts of pie making and demystify the process - especially how to make pie dough from scratch. You'll also find lots of information and videos about pie making equipment, from pans and rolling pins to pastry cutters, pastry brushes and food processors. Our favorite is the Cuisinart 14-Cup model featured in several of our videos. Many of the videos you will find on this channel are "trailers" for our live-streamed classes, which we hold a couple of times each month. This includes classes on everything from hand pies to pot pies, sweet and savory galettes, mini pies and more. We also do classes on other types of baking as well, like icebox cakes and carrot cakes.
