Internationally acclaimed photographer and director Mike Miller began his career in 1985. A 3rd generation resident of Los Angeles, Miller is widely known for his iconic images chronicling the rise of the West Coast hip hop scene. Miller’s most recognized images are of artist Eazy-E, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac Shakur, along with never before seen photographs depicting the time, culture, and community that gave birth to West Coast rap. Early on in his career he photographed album covers for Jazz legends Stan Getz, Herb Alpert among other notable musicians. Mike Miller (b. 1964) Still lives and works in Los Angeles. His work has been included in current exhibitions at American Museum of Natural History New York, Fotografiska Museum, The Art of Hip Hop and The MoPOP Museum Seattle.
