Mylaudy CSI church is one of the major attractions of Mylaudy. It started as a small congregation in 1809, and currently it is the Largest and Oldest CSI church in Kanyakumari District and Cathedral of CSI Kanyakumari Diocese. The New Reformed church has been inaugurated on September 27, 1991. and Promoted as District church in year 1996. The first missionary of the Kanyakumari District Reform Council (Protestant) was a German priest Rev. William Thobias Ringle Thoube. The first Christian was the Maharasan Vethamonikam Desikar of Mylaudy. Although the both of them have different glories, But the purpose was the same. The Lord choose both of them from two different backgrounds for the same purpose. Mylaudy is the workplace where the two volunteered together. At present, This Single Seed (Mylaudy CSI Church) has spread like a Banyan tree and have been grown into three Diocese/congregations (Kanyakumari Diocese, South Kerala Diocese, Kollam-Kottarakkara Diocese).
