Kashish Mittal is a gifted & accomplished Hindustani Classical Vocalist, representing the Agra Gharana style of music. He is an ‘A Grade’ artiste of All India Radio & Doordarshan, and an 'Established artiste’ of Indian Council for Cultural Relations. He is a former IAS officer and Computer Science graduate from IIT Delhi. Kashish was initiated into Classical Music at the age of 8 years under Prof. Harvinder Singh and gave his first performance at the age of 11. He subsequently moved under the tutelage of Pt. Yashpaul, maestro of Agra Gharana, and underwent rigorous training to learn the fine nuances of Khayal, Tarana, Tappa, Thumri & Dadra. Kashish’s performances include Khayal, Thumri, Tarana, Sufi and Folk renditions and have evoked vast applause across audiences. He exhibits a rich, soulful voice to unfold the compositions, decorated with exceptional expertise in sargams, taans and laykari. Kashish has performed at concerts & music festivals across the country.
