Nazeel is a British singer-songwriter hailing from the North West of England. Nazeel was born into a spiritual as well as musical family and took to listening to and singing songs as a small child. His Bengali origins and travels to India have enabled him to draw from Eastern vocal and harmonic traditions, which form a key influence of his music. Nazeel began his career in 2003 after singing with Sami Yusuf on his hugely successful debut album al-Mu'allim. Nazeel recorded his own debut album titled 'Dunya' in 2006 released by Awakening Records which introduced him to a global audience. This led to international publicity and tours in over 20 countries including the UK, USA, Turkey and the Middle East. During his career, Nazeel has amassed over 1 Million combined YouTube views and has sung on the soundtrack of acclaimed Hollywood film. After a six year break, Nazeel is set to return in 2014 with a brand new album, produced by British record label UMA Global Records.
