Infant Jesus Cathedral is built in the year 1891 by Rev. Fr. Theodore Dickmann. The Catholic community here in Phirangipuram is there for many years. Here in this parish, we have more than 10000 Catholics. People are regular to the Church and it is a lively parish. Attached to this parish we have a beautiful Mount Carmel shrine. It is also declared as the tourist centre by the government of Andhra Pradesh. Not only the Catholics and Christians but also other religious people visit this shrine. There are many miracles taking place in this shrine. We celebrate the feast of mount Carmel on 14th, 15th and 16th July every year. Lakhs of people flock in to take part in this feast. It is also called padipantala Matha Feast. The main feast of the Cathedral is celebrated on 25th December every year. The purpose of this channel is to make available the liturgical activities to all the people. Especially to the people who are living far away from this parish.
