Spru Digz is a musical integrationist. He specializes in mixing, melding, and meshing together everything from funk, soul, and blues, to trap, hip hop, glitch, disco, Latin, African, and house. He is focusing on cultivating a novel approach to digital music-making which involves the process of what he calls "vertical mixing," whereby samples are "stacked" and integrated simultaneously, as opposed to sequentially (what one would hear in a more traditional DJ set). The driving idea behind this methodology is that "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts."
