Kelvin Wanjohi, known by his stage name DJ Fita, is a Kenyan producer and DJ. He debuted with an EDM aesthetic and developed some of the best studio chops with a series of remixes and club rollers. DJ Fita offers eclectic and refreshing music fit for both cross-over pop and electronic music. Debuting with the dancefloor ready remixes of popular Kenyan music; DJ Fita’s sound and scope have since expanded dramatically. While he often tours solo as a DJ, he has also toured with a live music ensemble, Makadem & the Electric Bengaloo, in 2018, playing main stage performances at festivals such as Africa Nouveau and Ongea Summit Festival. In the same year, DJ Fita released his debut studio single, Break It All Apart. In support of the record, DJ Fita went on tour in Nairobi and Kigali, Rwanda. On 2020’s Name of Love EP, he lays down a set of slinky R&B jams for Poly Joe and Nzau, proving just how versatile his vision of pop can be.
