Like so many other folks who get up in years, we considered a retirement community. We chose the Florida Villages after watching YouTube videos which convinced us that the Villages was a wonderful place to retire. We were excited! We made plans, told our family and started to downsize our home. The Villages sounded like nirvana and we were stoked! But then we found an unbiased news channel and discovered that the real Village life was quite a contrast to the one we had been hearing about. Our future dreams went up in smoke like a cheap eighth. The Villages was not like we thought it was at all. Why do people exaggerate how good it is? Are they all high? We desire to retire in a 55 plus community but as much as we wish the Villages was it, it doesn’t sound right for us. This channel is to enlighten other unsuspecting viewers who live afar, to the reality of the Villages by poking a little fun at the things they don’t say. Hopefully it will encourage other folks to do their homework. 🍍
